Our program for the evening will be presented by Karen Allen and will focus on the Stanford Letter Project. Based on research findings, the Stanford School of Medicine created the Letter Project tools to help people write letters involving what matters most to them at one’s life end. These letters intend to help empower and support all adults to prepare for their future, by taking the initiative to communicate with their healthcare providers, family members and loved ones about what matters most. Karen will guide those in attendance on how this project can bring more peace of mind as we consider the inevitable. It is suggested you bring pen and paper that evening.
We will meet at the Great Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 2117 Walnut Street, Bellingham, WA. The Great Hall is in the brick building, on the main campus on Walnut, directly across the street from the Old Parish Hall, which is temporarily being used for construction purposes. There is plenty of free parking in the adjacent lot.
If you are planning to use public transportation to get to St. Paul’s, the number 3 bus (Airport/Cordata) leaves downtown at 40 after each hour. It takes about 5 minutes to get to St. Paul’s going down Holly and the bus stops before Broadway near Elizabeth Station. If you are looking to carpool with someone, please let us know by emailing
edsugar21@gmail.com We will attempt to match riders with prospective drivers, based on geography and time schedules.
We look forward to seeing returning attendees and greeting new visitors!
