Yesterday the Bay Area celebrated the 75th birthday of the Golden Gate Bridge with a most spectacular display of fireworks. Typically a foggy time of year, San Francisco was blessed with a lovely clear day for the occasion. Here are a few images of the view I had last night out on the bay – incredible celebration.

Today, we come together as a nation to celebrate Memorial Day. The traditional red poppies of this holiday symbolize the blood shed by U.S. soldiers during times of war. Most Americans hold memories of donating to Veterans in exchange for a Poppy from their car in towns all over this country. SevenPonds dedicates this post in memory of our fallen Veterans.
