Let’s talk about it: Taboo Topics

Let’s open up conversation to residents and family of Bay Lake but also to the community. This is an open even to the public for anyone who would like to join others in talking about taboo topics relating to aging, dementia, decline, death, grief and talking about the questions that no one wants to ask. Let’s connect others to resources and community to help each other through some of the hardest chapters in life.

Jessica Sadler, is a local end of life Doula (like a birth doula) who specializes in opening up conversations about taboo topics and isn’t afraid to jump in the conversations we are fearful of. The ones that may make us uncomfortable but still need to be had.

She also is an expert in coaching people how to get started at any age with ‘Swedish Death Cleaning’, a process of decluttering meaningfully with gifting, donations and purposeful ownership of possessions. This is so important for seniors trying to age in place as well as downsizing far before a real estate agent is contacted.
