Death Over Dim Sum

Join us for dim sum with local experts and get answers to your questions about aging, death, and planning your legacy. Death Over Dim Sum is a workshop that brings together local end-of-life subject matter experts and Asian American Pacific Islanders of all ages to start conversations between generations in a culture where discussion of death is often taboo. Participants will use a dim sum-style order form featuring topics, questions, and conversation starters to guide discussions with rotating subject matter experts. Topics include aging and senior care, hospice care, palliative care, end-of-life care, spiritual care, funeral planning, and estate planning. Food, tea, and activities will also be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their loved ones regardless of language level. All materials are available in English and Chinese, both Simplified and Traditional. While the event is framed around a Chinese American perspective, all who identify as Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) are welcome.
