Loss, Losing, & Loosening: Exploring Grief and Healing Through Poem-Making (Presented by UCSF MERI Center)

A weekly poem-making workshop created by Redwing Keyssar, RN, author, and poet, and facilitated by Dr. Danielle Chammas.
Dr. Chammas will guide participants in using poem-making to examine their grief and find healing through creativity.
This group focuses on grief and healing. Loss, Losing & Loosening was coined by Eric Poche.
Loss: Loss is an irrevocable event.
Losing: Acknowledgement of the pain of the loss.
Loosening: Integration of the loss in one’s life.
This is an open group that meets weekly. Come once or come every week; there is no commitment to join every week.
Each week, participants will:
- Use poem-making to explore grief, whether grieving the loss of a loved one or struggling due to the global pandemic.
- Find healing through poems.
- Create a supportive and caring community.
You do not need to be a writer or poet to join.
