I am a highly accomplished, full-time professional champion bagpiper who has been performing since 1967, when I first learned to play at age 11 with the Walter B. Truman Bagpipe Band in Santa Barbara. Over a distinguished career spanning decades, I have won three Western United States Championships for solo piping (Grade 4 in 2002, and Grade 3 in 2003 and 2004) alongside numerous other awards as a soloist. I have performed with several top-tier, award-winning competition groups—including the Monterey Bay Pipe Band, the Bushmills San Francisco Irish Pipers, and the Silicon Valley Pipe Band—and I have lent my musical talents to prestigious ensembles such as the San Francisco Opera, the Chieftains, and the Napa Valley, California, and Diablo Symphony orchestras. Alongside performing, I am highly dedicated to passing on this musical tradition through private instruction, and I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and a Sustainable Enterprise MBA from Dominican University of California. Based in the East Bay, I provide my services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Central, and Northern California, offering exceptional musical accompaniment to honor loved ones at funerals, memorial services, graveside services, wakes, and celebrations of life.
